ICD-10-CM Anatomy/Pathophysiology Training

There are 14 modules (covering 14 body systems/conditions), each taking approximately one (1) hour to complete—although you should complete each module at your own pace.

Before beginning, please ensure that you have a fast internet connection, and access to a printer (should you wish to print the manual).

1. Blood & Lymphatic Module 1:This module will go over the function, as well as common terminology, of the hemic (blood) and lymphatic system in the body. Identification of blood cells and their functions, the process of how the lymphatic system fights against disease, and discuss common diseases and disorders related to these systems will all be covered.


2. Integumentary Module 2:This module will go over the function of the Integumentary system, the cells and structures that it is made up of, as well as review common terminology related to this system.This module also reviews common diseases and disorders related to the skin and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

3. Musculoskeletal Module 3:This module will review the function and structure of the musculoskeletal system, as well ascommon terminology related to it. The module discusses the skeletal system, joints and ligaments, and muscular system. We will also review common diseases and disorders related to the musculoskeletal system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

4. Respiratory Module 4:This module will review the function and structure of the respiratory system, as well as common terminology related to the respiratory system. The module will cover the cells of the respiratory tract and take an in-depth look at each organ within thesystem. Curriculum also reviews common diseases and disorders related to the respiratory system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

5. Cardiovascular Module 5:This module will review the function and structure of the organs, as well as common terminology related to the cardiovascular system. Coursework will go over the cells andtissues that it is comprised of. This module will also review common diseases and disorders related to the cardiovascular system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

6. Digestive Module 6:This module will review the function and structure of the GI tract, as well as common terminology related to it. Students will also learn about the cells and layers throughout the digestive system, and review common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

7. Genitourinary Module 7:This module will review the function and structure of the urinary and reproduction system, as well as common terminology related to the genitourinary system. Students will learn about the male andfemale genital system, and review common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

8. Endocrine Module 8:This module will review the function and structure of the endocrine system, as well as common terminology related to the genitourinary system. Students will learn about how the glands function with the nervous system to regulate body functions, andreview common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

9. Mental Disorders Module 9:This module will review mental disorders, as well as common terminology related to the disorders. Students will learn about some of the causes and characteristics of these disorders, and review common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

10. Eye and Adnexa Module 10:This module will review the function and structure of the eye and adnexa, as well as common terminology related to this sensory organ. Students will learn about how the eye captures and processesimages, and review common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

11. Ear and Mastoid Module 11:This module will review the function and structure of the auditory organs, as well as commonterminology related to this sensory organ. Students will learn about how the ear and mastoid process collect sound and provides balance. Coursework alsoreviews common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

12. Nervous Module 12:This module will review the function and structure of the central and peripheral nervous system, as well as common terminology related to the nervous system. Students will learn about how the nervous system acts as a control center for the entire body. Coursework will also review common diseases and disorders in this system and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

13. Pregnancy Module 13:This module will review the course and stages of pregnancy, as well as common terminology related to pregnancy. Students will learn about the various trimesters throughout the pregnancy term, and review common diseases and disorders and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.

14. Congenital Malformations Module 14: This module will review congenital malformations, as well as common terminology related to the disorders. Students will learn about some of the causes and characteristics of these disorders, and review common diseases and disorders and how they are impacted by ICD-10-CM.
